John Heyworth is an award-winning author of general fiction. He writes about Australian life and characters in contemporary settings. His book, The Cowrie Shell won GOLD in the Dan Poynter's Global Ebook Awards for Popular Literature Fiction, 2021

John Heyworth lives the port city of Fremantle, Western Australia.

Through no fault of his own he was born in Salford, England and despite being dragged through 14 different schools, he still succeeded in failing all his final school exams.

He then turned his dubious talents towards becoming a piano tuner, postie and a punk rocker before a teacher shortage allowed him to sneak into teaching.

After a lifetime of education, from kindergarten through to university, he has written numerous articles, compositions, musicals and even a thesis (or two).

But now he has awoken to another dream. A CAT AMONG THE MCIVERS is his debut novel.
